The area is located on the river Maroni at the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean. Galibi is the collective name for two Indian villages, namely Christiankondre and Langamankondre. These indigenous villages existed after the slave period and have grown into a sizeable community with a population of about 750 inhabitants.

DAY PROGRAM

Day 1:
- Bus Paramaribo - Albina
- Breakfast and sanitary stop on Stolkersijver
- Visit to old Bauxite village Moengo
- Stop at Moiwana
- Boat trip Albina - Galibi
- Village walk
- Traditional song and dance performance
- Visit turtles (February to July)

Day 2:
- Breakfast
- Visit to beaches, turtles and Tijgerbank
- for mud bath and swimming in the middle of the atlantic ocean
- Visit to a native plantation
- Traditional song and dance performance

Day 3:
- Breakfast
- Walk to the center (school) where the two villages
- Christiankondre and Langamankondre are separated
- 11.00 hrs Departure from Christiaankondre
